Photos tagged ephemera, unless otherwise noted, are from my collection of VINTAGE EPHEMERA: photos, letters, books + magazines from the 1800s - 1980s. I scan images + Photoshop color to match the source material. My goal is a virtual library of aging media, not to show you that I know how filters work.

PHOTOS I love feature: beautiful / sexy /interesting faces + bodies, vivid colors, black + white + gray, unconventional everything, diagrams, anatomy, queer culture, genderbending, fashion of all kinds from all times: street fashion, haute couture, avant garde fashion photography (accepting the absurdity of trying to define "avant garde" in the first place). Also: patterns, textures, icons + iconography, film stills, unusual animals, architecture, the urban + the rural, the natural world + the unnatural world, homes (interiors + exteriors), jewelry, ingenious DIY creations, sculpture, paintings, illustrations, found object art + so on.

I am a collector of QUOTES from: iconic figures, movies, books (fiction + non-fiction), television, speeches, interviews, articles, op-eds, plays, quotes about writing, about processes, about the way artists think, the way things work, etc. I keep a notebook with me at all times, I revere the notebook, I recommend them to anyone, to everyone, if you are 14 or 40, if you have every technological device known to man, I'm telling you babylove, dollface, kumquat: You. Need. A. Notebook.
